Congratulations! You have found the Luna Moth mural located at Benninghofen Park! Read the following text and write down some facts on your form.

Luna moths are a type of silkworm moth. As adults, they have no mouths and do not eat. Luna moths only live for around a week as adults. They are nocturnal, meaning they are most active at night. Luna moths have long tails on each wing to help them confuse bats, which are one of their main predators.

The shingle oak is a deciduous tree and its acorns provide food for mammals and birds. In the past, its wood was important for making shingles, from which the common name derives. Oaks serve as host plants for caterpillars of more than 500 different kinds of butterflies and moths.
