ABOUT OUR PARKS

Hamilton's unique park system features 50 parks, 40 recreational facilities and over 1,300 acres of natural and wooded parkland, including 5 dedicated Natural Areas.

There are five major picnic areas within Hamilton's park system including Crawford Woods, Joyce Park, Veteran's Park, Millikin Woods and Jim Grimm Park.

Parks may consist of picnic tables, shelters, grills, restrooms, playground equipment and parking facilities.

HISTORY OF THE CONSERVANCY

Hamilton Parks Conservancy, formerly the City of Hamilton Division of Parks and Recreation, was established in January of 2015.

The Conservancy is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit focused solely on managing and expanding the parks located within the City of Hamilton.

The Hamilton Parks Conservancy was created to provide services to the residents of the City at a lower cost and to have the ability to conduct fundraising through the solicitation of donations.
