Bald Eagle Mural

Congratulations! You have found the Bald Eagle mural located at Veteran's Park! Read the following text and write down some facts on your form.

Walk along the Great Miami and search the higher branches to see if you can spot a bald eagle. What’s it doing hanging out by rivers? Bald eagles love to eat fish. They also feed on carrion (rotten meat), food from a landfill, and just about any other meal they can get.

Bald eagles are large birds that build huge nests.  A typical nest is 2-4 feet deep and 4-5 feet wide. And eagles add to their nests each year. It seems that working on a nest together creates a lifetime bond. After all that work nest building, why seek a new mate? Eagles mate for life.
